My medical practice connects me with people who suffer from chronic diseases. I noticed that when a person is diagnosed with such, they become anxious and afraid. They take care of themselves out of fear, and not because of love.
I would always remind them that their disease could be their breaking point or their breakthrough.
The first thing we do in our sessions is to change their labels. Here are some examples:
Instead of being called a diabetic, we change it to a person with increased blood sugar. Instead of being called a hypertensive, we change it to a person with increased blood pressure.
Because I believe that whatever level is high now, we could bring it down. Your body is created so magnificently that you have the capability to heal yourself.
There is always hope. From being called cancer survivors, we began calling patients as cancer victors. From focusing in the mess of the disease, I encouraged them to focus on the message of the disease. From feeling so stressed, I enjoin them tofeel blessed.
Here’s what I discovered: when there is a change in perspective, amazing healing and recovery happens. I see healing miracles occur when patients understand that they are better than they think they are.
When you change your labels, you change your life.
My friend, you are meant to be a saint, not a sinner. May you encounter God in a powerful way today. Receive His love, and remember who you really are.
Claim your identity. You are a child of God; you are made in His image and likeness.
When God created mankind, he made them in the likeness of God. He created them male and female and blessed them. (Genesis 5: 1-2)
Praying for you,
